The Infinigrid
Reality Layers

Worlds

Earth 1.0 and Earth 2.0 are the realities most relevant to the opening chronicle—not the limits of existence. The Infinigrid may connect an effectively limitless number of parallel worlds.

Hopeful. Imperfect. Alive.

Earth 1.0

Earth 1.0 is the primary physical reality and the opening point of the chronicle—centered on Chicago around the year 2100, in the long aftermath of the Grand Depression. Technology has advanced considerably, but society has not necessarily advanced with it. Neurological and psychological deterioration has become widespread. Mood Corp rose to extraordinary influence by appearing to offer credible treatment for a crisis ordinary people could feel in their own lives. Synchronization treatment, including its widely prescribed white capsules, is part of daily care for much of the population. The world remains recognizable enough that anything found beneath it will not feel abstract.

Efficient. Synchronized. Unresolved.

Earth 2.0

A parallel layer strongly associated with consciousness, synchronization, and the Infinigrid. Recovered observations describe a civilization optimized around stability—calm, advanced, and difficult to interpret from the outside. Its exact nature remains unclassified. What it is, how it relates to Earth 1.0, and what forces shape it are not settled questions in the public archive.

Classification incomplete.

Earth 3.0

Earth 3.0 appears in fragmented observations and anomalous signals. No stable public classification exists. Recovered notes contradict one another. The archive currently treats it as a restricted designation rather than a confirmed, fully described reality.

Ancient. Alive. Incomprehensibly vast.

The Infinigrid

A hidden multidimensional network linking matter, energy, information, and consciousness across potentially limitless parallel layers of reality. It is not the internet, virtual reality, or a simulation. Most civilizations never discover it. Some learn to navigate it. Others attempt to exploit it. Its origin remains unknown.

A working classification. Not confirmed fact.

The Substrate

The Substrate is a human designation for structures and pathways that appear to descend beyond ordinary Infinigrid mapping. Researchers use the term, but they do not agree on what it names. It may be beneath the Infinigrid, part of it, what generates it, something the network passes through—or a misunderstanding caused by trying to describe higher-dimensional structure in human language. Archive entries record the hypothesis, not a settled cosmology.

Beyond the Confirmed Map

Unclassified Layers

Higher designations appear throughout damaged signals and navigation records. Their meaning—and whether every designation describes a world—remains unknown.
